See Me in the Colors
softly and tenderly
You call to me, reach to me
and i turn, looking for Your face
looking to the heavens
for it seemed to me it couldn’t be
what part of You lives in this place?
You say “grace”
and You say
see Me in the colors
of new england in the autumn
hear Me in the whisper of the wind
trust that there’s a magic
in the leaves, though they are fallen
it’s their ending that begins a life again
greet Me every morning
with the passion of a lover
reach for Me in everything you know
celebrate your love for Me
with love for one another
exercise your faith by letting go
You say “come home
you lonely traveler, you wanderer,
come lay your weary head to rest”
should i set my searching gaze
beyond this troubled sky or could i
ever hope to find You in this mess
You say “yes”
